The Consequences of Not Taking Action

If someone wants to get in shape, they have choices.

Do they take the dessert or the healthy option? Do they wake up 30 minutes early and exercise, or do they hit the snooze button?

The answer all depends on the consequences of not getting in shape.

If the consequences are merely that they don’t like the way they look and they feel sluggish, they are not heavy enough to outweigh the pain of exercising and forgoing dessert. There’s a good chance they’ll take the easy option and not take the necessary action to get in shape.

It’s exactly the same with taking the actions to build your business. Are those consequences too trivial to make you take action?

What would an ideal, normal, M-F DAY look like for you?

I’d encourage you to write it down. Some things you could probably start doing, right away.

Others?

You may need to free up some time?

You may need to increase your income and set something up where you can work remote, from anywhere?

If that’s the case…

===> This may help.

Kills procrastination forever…

Hey, just a quick note for you today!

You know, many good, smart and hardworking people think they lack the “follow thru” gene.

And so they’re quick to hold themselves back, labelling themselves as chronic procrastinators.

But really, it just takes a teeeeny tweak in their strategy to turn it all around!

I’ll relate it this way…

Many people that are trying to quit an addictive habit, like drugs or alcohol?

They feel it’s too much to have to quit the habit FOREVER.

Sounds very daunting, right?

So…

They’re often reminded of this one thing, which I hear is posted up on the walls of these places, like AAA:

JUST FOR TODAY

That’s all the sign says…

But it reminds them that they don’t have to worry about forever!

Following X number of steps for X number of days.

Because all they have is today at hand.

Can you do it, TODAY.

“Everything ends.”

A 10 minute task.
A phone conversation.
Focusing 1 hr on something.

Everything ends.

“Everything ends, everything ends, everything ends,” he tells himself.

He’ll get to go to sleep a bit later that night, just like everybody else.

I hope this makes sense, and I hope this is helpful?

It was quite the “AHA” when I heard it too.

Especially in this business…

===> Like with this system here

You need to be able to send leads every day, ideally.

But it doesn’t have to take but 30 to 60 minutes to do it.

So, if you follow the steps above, and focus JUST FOR TODAY…

…Keeping it simple…

Make sense?

===> Give it a try here, and use the plan to get it done…

In your corner.

Hope it truly does.

Best,

Fail-Safe Tips for Effective Media Buying

Media Buys (buying packages of ad space) can be a great way to help grow your business.  Finding the right place to advertise will open up a large audience that might be receptive to your current marketing efforts.

There is, however, a right way and a wrong way to do it.  These six tips will put you on the right track to getting the greatest return on all your media buys.

#1: Budget It

Media buys can be a great addition to your marketing strategy, but they can also be a great way to empty your bank account.

To avoid spending too much money, it’s vitally important that you set a budget for media buying and stick to it.  Once you go over budget you’ll be cutting into your profits.  I suggest starting small, finding out what works, and then incrementally increasing your ad budget.

#2: Shop Around

It’s never a good idea to purchase the first thing you find.  When it comes to media buys, the cost of the buy isn’t always related to the quality of the audience.

While it might be tempting to spend a lot to advertise on a well-known website, you might be able to find cheaper options that are just as effective.

#3: Goals

It’s important to keep the goals of your campaign in mind when looking for media to buy.  Different websites will have different types of visitors.

If you’re focused on gathering leads, then one site might be a better option than another.  If sales are your goal, then you’ll need to find a website full of real customers.

#4: Test It

Every campaign is different.  The only way to really tell which media buy offered the best return is to constantly test different campaigns.  Instead of just running one campaign and hoping for the best, diversify your marketing efforts.

When the campaigns are over, you’ll be able to run a few numbers and find out which one brought you the highest return.

#5: Cost Per Lead

You need to have a method of determining the most valuable media buys, and focusing on your cost per lead is a great way to do this.  Traffic is always nice, but if it doesn’t convert into leads or sales then it’s only wasting your time and money.  The cost per lead can be determined by taking the price of the media buy and dividing it by the number of leads or sales.  Needless to say, anything with a negative ROI should probably be thrown out.

#6: Get Creative

At the end of the day, media buying is just advertising.  Once you’ve purchased it, you’ll need something eye catching, inventive, and enticing to use it for.

Make sure you leave room in your budget for creativity.  Hiring designers, writers, and even musicians can really boost the effectiveness of all your marketing.  Don’t fall into the trap of neglecting to budget for creative design.

The real secret to effective media buying can be found in planning and analysis.  It can be tempting to just jump right in and start buying anything you can find.  To get the most out of it, however, you need to know what you’re doing. Read More

Reach Your Goals Faster with High-Power Work Sessions

A lot of people hoping to make money online are limited to working at it just a few hours per day or less.

If you’re working a day job and are frustrated that you can’t spend more time becoming financially free, I have some good news for you.

Do you know what’s even more effective than having more time to work? Getting as much as you possibly can out of the time you do have available.

The reason is that if you’re not focused and effective during a short period of time, then having all day would just mean more wasted time. As a mentor of mine once said, “If you can’t make money in your spare time, you can’t make money full-time.”

So, here are 5 proven tips I want to share, based on what modern neuroscience has shown (not motivational fluff), that will help you to get even closer to your income goals in less time.

How Our Brains Work Against Us

There’s a meme floating around called “Scumbag Brain” that jokes about how the human brain works against us sometimes instead of doing what we want it to. For example…It’s easy to get motivated, but hard to stay disciplined.

Perhaps you’ve noticed that gritting your teeth and relying on willpower alone is not enough.

Think of the last time you were on an exercise program that did not last. You went to the gym religiously for several weeks…until you caught a cold, or missed a day. Then, it was back to your old habits and behavior again—not to mention feelings of guilt and self-blame (which make it even harder to bounce back).

The key is to avoid self-criticism by understanding how your mind works. We all get lazy or have setbacks. The key is to get back on track again quickly when (not if) it happens.

Schedule 90-120 Minute Time Blocks

The easiest way to get something done is to set a specific time and place to do it, and then show up when the time comes. Otherwise, your goals and plans are not concrete enough, and you can fall into the procrastination trap.

It’s also a fact that people can only stay focused and productive for 90 to 120 minutes at a time, before we need a rest or diversion. It’s impossible to stay ultra-productive all the time. Don’t even bother trying.

Instead, schedule blocks of time when you’ll be doing nothing but working, and when it’s over, STOP. Take a 15-20 minute break, or wrap it up for the day.

Also, treat your scheduled commitment to yourself as seriously as you would your job. Isn’t it just as important?

Prioritize Your Top 5 Items

It helps to list the top 5 tasks to accomplish each day, preferably the night before. Then, when the time comes to work, work on one thing at a time, starting with the most important action item of the day.

When it’s finished, move on to item #2, and so on, until done. Do NOT try to do two things at once! Multi-tasking is a myth and a joke.

It gives people the illusion that they are getting more done, but in reality you lose concentration while switching back and forth between items because it takes time for the mind to get caught up again.

Create an Environment for Focused Work

Your performance is affected the environment you’re in and the tools available to you, positively or negatively. Give your body and mind what they need to perform by setting up your workspace for success.

Before you start, clear out the clutter and remove any potential distractions. Have only one window open on your computer. Get away from email, phone, and social media until your work block is over. You can schedule a separate session for phone calls and email.

I have also found that upbeat music helps me move more quickly, as long as it’s not too distracting (and no vocals—otherwise my mind pays attention to the lyrics).

Take a Fun Break!

Lastly, don’t forget to give yourself the rest you need, in order to have the concentration reserves you need to fuel your work.

So make a point to schedule periods each day for breaks, leisure, and fun as well as working on your business. It’s just as important if you want to be consistent in the long run!

Hopefully you will find these tips to be as helpful as they were for me!

Also, if you want to get even more done and make even more money in less time than you can achieve through your own efforts, consider licensing and promoting other people’s info products and sales funnels, rather than creating them all from scratch.
